I believe in sharing the love to my fans. So, this post is dedicated to those of you who can’t have gluten 😦 . I found some tasty cookies that you guys can safely enjoy!
Midel makes a whole bunch of products, and they have a gluten free line. Midel says, “There’s no compromise needed just because you’re gluten intolerant.” And you shouldn’t have to! Midel makes the cookies and snacks without preservatives, trans fats, or artificial ingredients. Some of them are even dairy free! I got to try the Arrowroot, Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Caramel, and Chocolate Sandwich varieties.
Arrowroot-uhhh, Deliiishh! Nice and buttery flavor! These were sweet and crispy animal shaped crackers. Too cute! I particularly liked the polar bear and the camel. Almost too cute to eat 😉 These have a light vanilla flavor as well, and i think they taste better than the original animal crackers. They aren’t as dry or bland in my opinion, and have more of a buttery/vanilla flavor. 4 stars!
Chocolate Chip-These were good! The cookie is crispy and has a buttery taste to it. They have a golden brown color and have a good amount of chocolate chunks in them. They have the right amount of sweetness- not overpowering at all. A good Chocolate Chip cookie replacement! (plus- you get 5 in a serving! whoop!) 4 stars!
Chocolate Caramel- these were bite sized caramel goodness! At first it’s a strong chocolate flavor, but then, a sweet caramel flavor floods your mouth. I wouldn’t be surprised if caramel oozed out of one of these cookies (i wish!) that’s how good they are. These are really good, and good for munching on 🙂 Each is also the size of about a penny, and you get to eat 23 of them for only 110 calories. Wooo! I’m giving these 5 stars 🙂
Chocolate Sandwich- yum! Doesn’t taste exactly like an Oreo, but still very good. It’s very chocolatey, and has a nice crunch to it. The wafer part is crispy but soft at the same time. I also like the cream on the inside. Sweet and smooth, like it should be. 4 stars 🙂
 So, Viola! Cookies for those of you who are sensitive to gluten that taste good! Hey, Midel’s cookies are good for those who can have gluten as well 😉 Overall, i’m giving them 4 stars. All natural, yummy treats everyone can enjoy.The only downside is that they are short of fiber, but then again, they aren’t made with whole grains or whole wheat where it’s easier to incorporate fiber. Anywho- I want to try more of them!! Who needs gluten anyway ? 😛

Chocolate Chip- 5 cookies are 130 calories, 4.5 grams of fat, 21 carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, and 2 grams of protein.
Chocolate Sandwich- 2 cookies are 140 calories, 6 grams of fat, 21 carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, and 1 gram of protein.
Chocolate Caramel- 23 cookies are 110 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 21 carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, and 1 gram of protein.
